Tight muscles in the upper body and head can cause headaches. So for relief definitely start exercising. I also suggest starting a stretching program such as yoga or tai chi. I've gone into yoga sessions with a bad but ended them with the completely gone. This is not too surprising as yoga loosens muscles, stretches them and is very relaxing.
